I see an option for adding text in the top margin when printing labels. However, the text I have entered in that field doesn't show up when I print. Just a horizontal line across the top margin from left to right. Any ideas? I'm using Mac OS 10.11.6., LW v6.0.8.135

It all depends on how near to the edge of the page your printer can print vs. where the top edge of labels begins. Most labels start as close to the top as most printers can print to, leaving almost no room for text in the tiny remaining margin. Lightwright tries to print there, but rarely succeeds because the space is simply too small. It could try to shrink to fit, but that could mean text printed at 2 point size, too small to read in most cases.
So if you're lucky your printer prints edge-to-edge and the text fits, otherwise you'll get whatever part of the text shows in the printable area.

Thanks. I'll just go old school and write it in the margin like I used to. It's a nice idea though. Hopefully, it'll get perfected at some point.

Its a nice idea, and works well for me. Sure i had to set up my printer, but thats how printers work.
But what what i would love in the next version of LW would be the ability to change the size of that text.

As I recall, the margin text starts out at something like 12 point and then shrinks to as little as 4pt in order to fit in the available space. Keep in mind the visible space is much bigger than the actual printable space.
