VW 2016 on Mac 10.11.6 Latest service packs I go into 'Spotlight Preferences' > 'Lighting Device Parameters' I can see the U Address field, and it's checked to display it. When I go back into the design layer, in the object info window, it doesn't display. It DOES, however, sync with LW exchange in the background, updating the address field. But I can't edit the DMX # in VW since it won't display the field. Anyone else seeing this? Or am I wrong in thinking this should be displayed? I have the LW setting for exchange under options; So it seems like its expected that I can. Thanks.

For some odd reason which I dont understand why Vectorworks will not show it. You can see the u address when you right click on a fixture and hit edit. I reported it to Vectorworks but kinda go ignored by it. I called as well and no one can explain why? So it not you it's Vectorworks

I don't remember exactly how it works, but there are options in Vectorworks to assign universes automatically(?), and turning that option on/off makes some of the 3 address fields visible or not. It's weird, but that's the way they designed it to work.

Yes it visible but not editable. Which means if you want to change all of the u Address for unit 1 thru 10 you have to do it via LW. Which is strange. What not thru the OIP. I personally do like the auto addressing. What would be nice is if we could have a option in LW that show the actual Dmx cha that is assigned to fixture x not just as 1/123 but also just 123.

What would be nice is if we could have a option in LW that show the actual Dmx cha that is assigned to fixture x not just as 1/123 but also just 123. Lightwright 6 does this. It has 3 columns (universe#, DMX#, and address). All are linked, Address shows the combined form (1/123), changing one changes the others.

Yes I`m aware of it. But can we have the address filed just show the dmx# without the universe #? If it's uni 2 dmx# 1 I would like to see the Address as 1 and not 513

Then look and use the DMX# column, not the Address column.

But the address column is the one exchanged with Vectorworks correct?

Take a look at the "Lightwright 6 Addresses & Vectorworks" document in Lightwright's Help menu. There are three fields, you need to tell Lightwright which ones you want to use in Vectorworks. Once you read the Help document, you'll understand.
