I am trying to open some old label files with the extension .lwl that are currently being opened on a Windows XP computer using an application called "LLM-WIN On Demand Print" which connects to an Intermec printer to print labels for packages. I tried taking these files from the computer using a flash drive to my Windows 10 computer, and I downloaded Lightwright 6 to try to open the files, but Lightwright 6 doesn't seem to be able to open these files. First of all, when using the "File>Open" menu, it only allows the opening of .lw1, .lw2, ... .lw6, and no ".lwl". When I try using opening the file from file explorer using "Open with > LW6.exe", Lightwright will launch and display an unending slew of error message boxes stating "Could not open file, it was not available or damaged" and I have to use Task Manager to force quit.
Does anybody have any ideas on how I can get these files to open on a newer machine? Is there any hope of somehow converting these files to a file type that modern label printers actually use? Let me know if I can provide any other necessary details. Thank you.
