Does anyone know how to make LW stop wiping out address and resetting universes all to 1 on a first import?
I work with a lot of other people's drawings, and most drawings I work form don't use the "3/52" or the "1588" addressing format. They use address field: 52 and Universe field 3 in Vectorworks. Make sense? It has been sucking up a lot of time and energy to both, A) change out of Universe + U Address mode because my defaults never remain saved; B) having to reconcile the addresses because lightwright keeps overwrighting the universe field. I have tired every flavour upon import. sharing and unsharing a universe range, not using address in a range, not using Lightwright's universe set up. If I use the Universe + U address, LW wipes everything clean.
The way this is going, I may as well just use excel since I have to put in all of the information manually. Can anyone please help? This is the most frustrating thing I have dealt with in a long time.
Thank you in advance / I hope I'm just being an idiot an missing something obvious.

There's document on Lightwright 6's Help menu that tells you how to set up address/universe/DMX# in both Vectorworks and Lightwright to make it work. The root of the problem is that the address field in Vectorworks was designed to include both the universe# and the DMX#, while the universe field is supposed to include only the universe number (or label), while the U_Address field (a.k.a. U_Dimmer prior to 2016) is for the DMX# within the universe. Read the Help document, it'll make it all clear how to get it working.
