Hello all,
Is there a way of adding an additional weight to a lighting position to allow for cable? Something that would then be included with the "WEIGHT OF LIGHTS AND ACCESSORIES IN EACH POSITION" report.
Many thanks,
Cookie

Nope, you're the first to ask for it. Please file a bug report/feature request. Also note that Lightwright can't calculate the weight of multicable and jumpers, either. Or twofers, or power supplies, safety cables, etc. etc. etc.

Hey there!
What i do is just add an average weight to each unit type to help include the weight for the cable, multi, clamps etc. So I make a Source Four 35#, a par Can 25#... that always gets me pretty close to my final arbor weight. Frankly, no one ever complains if my weight estimates are a little high. But I would never hear the end of it if they were low!
Hope that helps
Kevin

Hi John & Kevin,
Thanks for letting me know. I tend to copy the weight of each position info out of LW into an Excel sheet to add a cable allowance at the moment. Works ok, but it's always nicest to do as much as possible within LW! Nice workaround Kevin.
All the best,
