Currently using Lightwright 6 (6.0.19.207). In Instrument Type Maintenance, I've created a striplight called 6' 3 CIR MR-16 Striplight 75w EYC. Every time I open this Maintenance, it's created two additional instruments. One called 6' and another called 3 CIR. I always delete them, which it lets me do. But then, a few times later, when I open this again, there they are, created again. How do I keep this from happening. It's not doing this with other lights I've made.

Try taking out the apostrophe. Replace it with "ft" or nothing if it doesn't bother you. If that doesn't work then you got me.

I tried this, and this seemed to work as long as I had the file open, but once I closed it and reopened it, it happened again. Also...when I reopened the file, it added back gobos, and positions that I had previously deleted.

Are you linked to a Vectorworks file via Data Exchange?

Do you have actual instruments with data with this name?
Search those down in the worksheet and make sure they are all named the exact same thing. I usually run into this problem when I have named 2 instruments the same name but accidentally added an extra space some where. LW will treat these as different instrument types.
Best of luck. Let us know what you find. Feel free to post up your LW file for people to look at too.
