It comes up every once in a while that it would be handy to be able to select whole columns but only the odd or even cells. That is all.

The down and dirty way to do this now...would be to create a new column and insert a 1 or 2 in each row, then sort by the 1's or the 2's. That would give you what you are looking for. I use this type of temporary sort column all of the time.
Also...if you put in a 1 in row 1 and a 2 in row 2...all you have to do is copy and paste those 2 cells into the rest of the cells and they will repeat all the way down.

Kevin, This is definitely a way to do it, but you would have to do it for each new sort. Certainly the fastest current way to do it but a button would be real nice. I tried my hand at creating a script to do it in vectorworks the other day and wasted hours of my life with no result (not a coder).At least I walked away with very slightly more knowledge..
