Hi all.
One of of the spaces we have here has what we call trolley bars. So 5 bays across stage with 10 bars per bay. We can move these bars anywhere from 6m to 28m from the back wall. This leads to a very dynamic space and means that nothing is ever the same. Looms and lamps are all show specific, no such thing as standard. Because of this we need to do a bar placement before each gig. In the past when all paper work was just done in Excel, we had a template chart that we just changed the distance for each bar. As we push into using Lightwright more and more I'm trying to find a way to do this, or atleast something to the effect. For the most part we work with straight lines across the space, but occasionally we do have to stagger or even having one bar on its own. Is there a way to do this, or just keep with excel for this part of the paperwork?
Thanks in advance all
Rob

Assuming you give each bar a different name, you can go to Maintenance/Position and enter the placement for each bar in the notes. Then when you print an Instrument Schedule, the note will appear next to the name of the position (assuming the position is set to be a header instead of a column).
If you're printing labels, you can include the position note on labels based on the Maintenance/Position list.
