Would it be possible to have a # prefix to channels, in the same way, but an alternative to using parentheses?
It's a quirk of the British that many lighting designers like to use a # on a plan to make the channels easier to identify. (For any American's who haven't see a British lighting plan, we like to put a LOT of numbers on them...)
I can suggest of course they use parentheses instead but as ever, much of my remit as a production electrician is keeping the LD happy so it would be nice to fulfil a seemingly simple request.
I'm currently using containers in VW to add the # to channels without messing up the data exchange, but this is far from a perfect solution.
No idea how hard this would be to implement John, but if it finds it's way into LW7 I'd be eternally grateful!
Cheers,
Cookie

The hard part is that a lot (most?) designers and electricians use # before unit numbers, though I suppose there could be an option to not show them on unit numbers and show them on channels.
Are there any other kinds of channel prefixes people would like to use?
