Dear All,
Is it possible to change the dimmer numbers in the 'details' pop up. My racks do not run sequentially as they are ETC Sensor racks.
Hope this makes sense

Do you mean its a permanent rack with 'balanced' phase wiring?

Yes thats correct.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Phase Template for the Installed Sensor Racks takes the staggering into account.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Phase Template for the Installed Sensor Racks takes the staggering into account. Correct, it does. So to the OP, Under "dimmer Details", select the Installed Sensor Racks Phase Template. The "Order" of the dimmers will still be numerical in LW, but the phase assignments will correctly represent what how the racks are wired. (A,A,B,B,C,C) -If you are trying to print based on the staggered dimmer rack order, I suggest sorting by circuit name/number, provided those are numbered in order from top to bottom

Hi Guys,
So I have learnt something new about LW which is cool however it does not achieve what i need.
To explain further:
I have 6 racks each with 72 ways (24ways per phase).
Rack 1 is wired as 1 thru 12 then 19 thru 30 on L1, 31 thru 54 on L2 and 73 thru 96 on L3.
Therefore I need to somehow show the gap between circuits - these circuits exist, just in different racks.
Any suggestions?

hmm...I know you can edit the phase assignments manually in the Details tab of the Dimmer Setup window'. I am less sure of whether you can manually assign the dimmer numbers in the way you have described.
When I have a chance I'll look at my Test file and see what's possible.

1. Break up one of your 72way racks in to pieces. Rack 1A is 12 dimmers (assign as dimmer 1-12), Rack 1B is 36 dimmers (19-54), Rack 1C is 24 dimmers (73-96). Make sure your phases are correct for each rack
2. Make use of one of the user definable fields, call it 'Rack Order' or something, and number it the way you want it to display

So after a bit of playing around, it seems that it is not possible to define the Dimmer numbers in one Rack in the manner you need. You can assign the Phasing manually, but Dimmer 13 will always be Dimmer 13.
The method Shrunkenned outlines above seems to be your best bet.

Thanks everyone - will go with Shrunkenned's option.
Is it worth putting in a feature request to John so that changing the dimmer number is an option? 3 venues i have worked in have similar setups, would it be useful to other people? Would be able to then print paperwork based on that rack info be useful as well?

Hey folks, is it possible to link the dimmer number directly with the channel numbers? at least for a certain range? I have 96 dimmers that are ALWAYS patched 1:1:1. Dimmer, channel, circuit. So when we decide to change the circuit, I'd love to have the channel and address track. Thoughts?
