This could be something I'm missing, but I haven't been able to use Long Field Names in any of my labels.
The Formatting Pallet has Radio buttons to choose Long or Short names, but no matter which I choose it's always the Short Name that shows up on the label.

Are you making mult labels with circuit names? The radio buttons I have seen in the past indicate that the circuit is in more than one position and it has derived that position.

No, that's not what I mean.
For example, on a Data Cable I want to show what Universe it's in. So the data source is Current Worksheet, and that field is Universe.
But on the Label, it will only display/print as it's short name "Univ"
The formatting palette has an option to use the Long Name "Universe" but selecting it makes no difference.

The problem that I have been having is LW is sharing short names with VW. If you reconciled those short names back into LW they might be your long names now. This has been reported and hopefully fixed soon.

In the settings menu for the labels window (gear on the left side) there is a button for long names and short names. The problem I am having is the label is not saving the long/ short names setting even when I save the label and show.
