Hey Everybody, How do i fixture type summary in a layout. I do my fixture numbers like this; 1-** generic 101-** spots 201-** beams 301-** Wash and so on... if I'm now printing my unit layout or how ever you will call it, I got a list with all fixtures or I do it partial layout print. The OP starts to patch the desk, now he needs to take a look to the first number 101 (example) and the last one 164 (example)! Now he knows, okay i need to put the count to 64 fixtures. Is there any chance to put a fixture type or what ever count on a layout? For now I do it like this... Thanks!

Rene, I am sure there is a samrter way of doing that... ...but I would just add a user column called "count" to your paperwork. "View" your Instrument types "sorted" by channel. Then select your "count" colum for each individual Instrument type and use the "1+" feature. This way you will get a numbered list, starting with "No. 1" for each Instrument.

I am curious why you use a Fixture # ...instead of just using the channel number column? But...you might get some use out of the "live count window"
Do you ever skip numbers from 1-23? Seems like you just have to look at the last number in the-- by unit type, ordered by channel --list.. and that is your total?

Assuming you've selected a fixture profile for each instrument type in maintenance (which sets the DMX Qty for each), turn on the Address column in the worksheet, sorted however is appropriate. Then select all of the Address columns, type in the starting Address# followed by a plus sign ("+") and Lightwright will assign the addresses for you, skipping over the addresses within each fixture. For example, enter "6/1+" as the first address, then hit Enter. There's more to "plus editing", check out the new features guide or the reference manual, both are in the Help menu.
