Hi folks,
Cant seem to find it in the manual so if there's a quick link, hit me and I'll shamelessly slink away.
But if not...
How can i lock the channel, address, soca (multi) and spay circuit together so that when I change the channel, the whole lot follows.
In my discipline, 95% of the time, we run our dim lines as 1:1:1 meaning the channel matches the address, matches the circuit number. Since they're all the same, I'd love to just change my channel in Vectorworks, have that travel over to LW and for LW to correct the address and cable information.
IF I'm interpreting the manual correctly (maybe not?) then its all dimmer based. I don't bother applying a dimmer number, as in my case, its all the same as my address anyway.
I'd love to have some input on the easiest way to make this work for me!
All the best,
Nelly

You could try changing the mapping in Spotlight so VW channels map to LW dimmers.

I don't think you can do this.. on the channel level. You can only link hee dimmer number and cir name + number in the Cir name Maintenance. BUt you could bring up all of the dimmers, highlight the Channel column and type 1+
It will fill in the channels in order starting at 1.

Oh neat idea Nik! I'll give that some thought. The problem is that probably 2/3 of my fixtures aren't dimmers.... Hmmmm.... I worry that I might be making more work for myself...

Keep in mind that "Dimmer" is the generic term Lightwright uses for a source of power. The "Dimmer" can be a circuit breaker# in a PD rack, or a hot circuit on a dimmer rack, or just a generic label for a cord plugged into the wall somewhere. If you do this, make the dimmer type "Power", that will make it clearer in your mind and anyone else who works on the show.
