Viper AirFX - Confirmed with Caveats.
The manual and spec sheets do indeed confirm that Basic mode is 20 channels and Extended is 28 channels.
However,
the QuadRay is a lens module that can be added to the front of the Viper AirFX. (It splits the beam into 4 separately controllable beams). When this is added the unit now uses 5 more channels of DMX (ch29-33). There doesn't appear to be a way to manually tell the fixture the module is there or not. The manual appears to indicate that when the module is added, the fixture automatically knows and adds the additionally 5 channels of dmx.
Additionally, the Viper Quadray Profile in LW needs to be updated as well. It currently shows DMX quantity of only 1.
Proposed Changes:
Viper Air FX Basic Mode: 20 channels. Appears correct currently. Viper Air FX Extended Mode: (currently 33 channels) Should be 28 channels Viper Quadray (Viper Air FX with Quadray option) (currently 1 channel) should be 33 channels, using the DMX profile that is currently used in Viper Air FX Extended
